The Riverglass | Saco River Oasis, Hot Tub, Views

On a surface level the cleaning crew did their job - bathrooms, bedding, vacuumed, etc. were well done. The view and location was beautiful. However, the home was not worth anywhere what we paid for. The exterior was neglected - dirty, massive cobwebs, random junk under the deck and elsewhere, A firewood box was filled with garbage. Upon closer look in the house there was a broken window, a window that literally could not shut (so the rain could come in), and as we headed down the stairs to the 4 bedrooms (all in the basement) we realized the roof also leaked and there was water on the floor/stairs. Looking closer you could see mildew/mold absorbed into the wood. The basement was clean but smelled musty so my daughter who has mold issues basically could not stay there overnight and had to pay for a hotel room. The kitchen was basically “tired” (though appliances were fine. Freezer - old frozen ice cubes so solid you couldn’t budge. Open food from a prior guest. Broken door on cupboard that had dirty dishes. No normal size pots/pans. Slider screen constantly fell off and the actual door didn’t seal so henceforth, bugs. I reached out many times to the property management. They responded and fixed whatever they could. They also purchased a box of pans with lids so we could cook. Not trying to down someone’s property. I think with TLC and pressure washing! this could have been a better experience. But not worth the money we paid for what was to be a family dream vacation.

Visited in the summer. The river location was great. Kiddos loved going right out into the water. The house had a few kayaks but only one paddle so bring your own. The house was just okay. I was hoping for a less rugged stay. The house is unairconditioned, which i knew, but at least half the windows were unable to be opened. We got enough open to get a breeze at least. The rooms downstairs were good sized but a bit lacking. Minimal furniture, no side light and hard to find a plug for a charger. Mattresses were decent. The one full bathroom was smaller than I expected and a little rough. There is a half bath upstairs and then the second shower is actually in the entry in the laundry room. It worked fine for my kiddos but might not be preferred by some. We had a great time and loved the quick access to North Conway and restaurants.

Beautiful location

We had the best time as a family with friends at this house. The owners were extremely accommodating & made sure our stay was exactly as we wanted. They provided all necessities & even worked out a late checkout for us. We loved the hot tub, firepit, games & how we all had our own space. We would all recommend this place & are looking forward to coming back again!
